Sing Beautiful song to your child : Dedicated to parents.

Mother love is priceless

Golden Slumber by Thomas Dekker

Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise;
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby,
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.

Care is heavy, therefore sleep you,
You are care, and care must keep you;
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby,
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.

Father’s love is unconditional

This song by Thomas Dekker is from his 1603 play Patient Grissel, This song was again published in 19th century song book.

Old rhymes always inspire you and take you out of the world. This old poem by Thomas Dekker also take you to your childhood when while sleeping your mother sing you a beautiful song and you sleep well thinking that you are sleeping in the most place of the world. Ofcourse there is no place like mother lap, no place safe than your mother’s lap, nothing is beautiful than your mother’s singing or rhyme. Feel her while singing this beautiful song.

Please comment if you like this poem and it reminds you of your childhood, your mother,your father’s lap.
